Standing on the Word of God V-Neck T-Shirt - Frayed Version

THE DESIGN

This design celebrates God who is a promise keeper. God created rainbows as visible reminders of His promise to never again destroy all humanity through water.  We’ve had hurricanes, tornados tsunamis, monsoons, and storm surges that have devastated certain areas, but nothing has destroyed the entire earth.  This promise that God made to humanity over 4,000 years ago still stands.  We can trust God to keep every other promise He’s made to us.

The scripture reference is Genesis 9:13-16 NIV which is printed on the back of this design:

“(13) I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. (14) Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, (15) I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a flood to destroy all life. (16) Whenever the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will see it and remember the everlasting covenant between God and all living creatures of every kind on the earth.”

I created this design to remind us that we can trust God to do exactly what He’s promised us to do. We can lean on, rely on, and have confidence in Him.

THE BACK STORY

The Bible has a whole lot to say about God's promise keeping nature:

• Malachi 3:6 - "For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed."
• Numbers 23:19 - "God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?"
• Joshua 21:45 - "There failed not ought of any good thing which the Lord had spoken unto the house of Israel; all came to pass."
• Titus 1:2 - "In hope of eternal life, which God, that cannot lie, promised before the world began;"
• 1 Kings 8:56 - "Blessed be the Lord, that hath given rest unto his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one word of all his good promise, which he promised by the hand of Moses his servant."
