This statement is simple yet life-changing - GOD IS.

The scripture reference is Hebrews 11:6 which speaks to the importance of what we believe about God:

"And without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that HE IS, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.”- Hebrews 11:6 NKJV

God exists, and this fact creates a responsibility for every person to decide how they will respond to this fact. It’s a personal choice - no one can choose it for you. As part of his farewell address after leading the Israelites after the death of Moses, Joshua issues a challenge to them saying, “…choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve…” (Joshua 24:15).  Each of us alive today is being issued the same challenge – who will we choose to serve?
